🌱 From the Field
Our green and yellow beans are harvested at their peak — crisp, sweet, and vibrant. Whether served hot or chilled, this dish is a great way to highlight their natural flavor with just a few simple ingredients.
🧺 Ingredients (serves 4 as a side)
-
2 cups trimmed Wild Flight Farm green and/or yellow beans
-
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
-
2–3 cloves Wild Flight Farm garlic, thinly sliced
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
-
Juice of ½ lemon or a splash of apple cider vinegar
-
Optional: toasted almonds or sunflower seeds for crunch, fresh parsley for garnish
🔥 Instructions
-
Trim the ends of the beans. Rinse and pat dry.
-
Blanch (optional): For extra tenderness and color, boil beans in salted water for 2–3 minutes, then plunge into ice water. Drain well. (Or skip this step for a firmer bite.)
-
Sauté: Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook gently for 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Add beans: Toss beans into the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until just tender but still crisp.
-
Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Garnish with seeds or herbs if using.
-
Serve warm or at room temperature.
